Sol Rattan Cot
Hand crafted from natural rattan finished with water base sealer.
What are the defects?
The product does not comply with the mandatory standard ‘Trade Practices Act 1974 - Consumer Protection Notice No.6 of 2005 - Consumer Product Safety Standard for Children’s Household Cots.’
The product does not meet the standard requirements of allowable gaps in the middle loop where the rattan is tied together.
What are the hazards?
A child could get a toe stuck in the gaps, causing an entrapment hazard that could seriously injure a child.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the cot and return to Valentine & Co for a full refund.
