Regarding warranties, an intro into what to look for when you read them is in this older related topic.
I have purchased many security doors and shutters from a local company over the years. One Roller Shutter now needs repair within the 5 year Warranty Period. After inspection told ‘T clips’ required, but these are only covered for 3 years. As its on the first floor I will have to pay for hire of a scissor lift. Yet Warranty clearly says “5 year Warranty on product quality and consistency”. Seems poor service from a company that has had a lot of business from me.
All warranties do not reflect their ‘headline’ claims when read in detail.

I would really like to find some independent reviews and comparisons.

As for the sales experience, this touches on one not so good.
I had Burns for blinds over for a quote on 2 roller shutters.
1 for my glass sliding door, 1 for my kitchen window.
No one will believe this. That’s O.k.
After taking measurements, discussed color, type of shutter, type of winder. She finally got down to an offer.
((($6,100))). I sort of sputtered a bit, said, aw. Nah.
So gets on the phone, calls her boss .
Comes finally down to ,after a middle offer of $3,600.
