Good Afternoon Choicers,
Today I was going to purchase a Greyhound picture from the Redbubble site. It had the option to pay with PayPal but when I tried, it said I couldn’t pay that way and it wanted my card details, I’ve recently joined PayPal on the advice from a friend due to its great policies. I have emailed the company but it will take 48 hours to respond. In the meantime I thought I’d ask you very knowledgeable people as you always help. Thankyou very much.
This sounds suspicious to me.
Are you sure it is the official Redbubble website… or a scam website masquerading as Redbubble?
The reviews of the official Redbubble are underwhelming in relation to some products sold and customer service.
PayPal should work if it is a payment option. If it doesn’t, it raises red flags to why it doesn’t (scam website or PalPal pulling the websites account for some reason).
I personally wouldn’t be handing over credit card details.
Hi,
I did go to the actual website and it did the same thing. As I’ve said many times I’m not very “techy” but this seemed odd, even to me. Apart from PayPal and your card you could pay in split payments on one of those after pay sites. It’s not an expensive item but I think I’ll stay away as I don’t want a possible scam to get access to my details. Thankyou.
Redbubble have been around for a while, and are a reputable site.
With any payment method, validation will be needed. Maybe your newly set up Paypal account failed validation. Their support people should be able to explain the issue.
How long ago did you join Paypal? It can take from a few hours to a few days for an account to become live for use.
What was your error message? That Paypal was not available or your attempt to use it failed? If the latter check your registered payment method in Paypal.
Hi,
I’ve had the the PayPal account for about a month and have bought three items from different sites (the most recent on Saturday). When I tap the PayPal option on the Redbubble site, in red letters it says “we can’t process your request” and throws me out to a Netflix page (I’m not with Netflix) and I found that to be the weirdest thing. I’ll wait to see what they say.
Thankyou.
You may not be with Netflix, but Redbubble sells their art and has a commercial partnership.
Well that makes sense, lol. Thankyou.
Do you have the url (https…) for the website page that is giving you grief?
I’m sorry, I don’t know they are. Please simply where I might find those and I’ll look (not “techy”).
In your browser at the top there is a bar which will have the URL. It looks like this:
Click on it and copy the text that is there.
Ok give me a second.
Gee this stuff makes me feel like an idiot. https://photos.app.goo.gl/fUxMEi3GgUTxUT3b9, is this what you wanted?
Okay, it is the Redbubble website.
Have you signed up for a Redbubble account?
Or are you trying to buy without signing up?
Yes I signed in for an account with user name and password.
Okay.
Are you logged into PayPal when you open the PayPal website in your browser?
Have you tried logging into PayPal on the PayPal website and then going to the Redbubble website to process the order at the checkout?
Ok, I’ll try that.
Sadly it still won’t let me pay with PayPal.
Thankyou for all your suggestions, I’ll wait to see what they say when they reply.
I thought I’d let you know, I found Redbubble on Facebook and was able to buy the item I wanted with PayPal. I don’t know why but that good.
Again, many thanks.
