I suspect it was not intended to be a ‘bye’ but could be taken that way as a reason to accept problems - mostly software related - in vehicles. Few of the Chinese EV makers have an automotive history so they have a different learning experience.
Most of us know there is no perfect software system although some come very close such as medical and in-flight systems. But as complexity increases reliability usually decreases and ‘where to look’ when a manufacturer claims it was the driver not my car? Or there is a discernable pattern without a clear triggering point or event? Purely mechanical problems are usually easier to understand than purely software problems. Both at the same time? Challenging to be polite.
