VelocityGlobalWallet - fast way to profit

I have used Velocity Global Wallet when travelling overseas on a number of occasions. I have left residual amounts in the account not used overseas in anticipation of the next trip, including Euros, USD, CAD, GBP and AUD. The last trip I made was just over 12 months ago and I left $1726.34 in the account - no point taking it out and taking a loss. I have now had the sum of $1.95 deducted as an ‘inactivity fee’. What ?! . They’ve had the money in their account earning them a profit and they bill me for it. This is simply outrageous. Another matter for the Banking Royal Commons to consider I would think. These people need to be stopped they are bleeding the life out the system.

You will find most of the pre-loaded travel cards have what can be reasonably called ‘a ripping feature’ in the T&C. They vary from having per use charges to activity charges to no-activity charges and can be surprising inventive. You will find that fee prominently displayed on their web site.

Unless you are into currency speculation or are just more comfortable with a known xrate, the best way to get foreign cash (in most advanced countries) is using an ATM at the destination airport or sometimes better, the first bank you can get to.
