I tried to utilise a Qantas flight credit this week. It was same day travel, on a married flight from SYD to CNS via BNE. The app and website showed a particular flight for $309.00, however, when I logged into the “redeem flight credit page” the particular flight was not an option. I called the flight credit booking telephone number, and after the agent entered the same flight, the price was over $600, plus I was going to be charged a $99 change fee. I asked to speak with a supervisor, who was adamant that NEW BOOKINGS are a different price to FLIGHT CREDIT REDEMPTION BOOKINGS. There was dramatically fewer options on the flight credit page, all of which were more than double those on the app. Eventually, she miraculously found the fare I was after, and I used the credit. tip: check the app or new booking desktop site, prior to logging onto your flight credit.
