Over the years I have had a few wheel issues and found there are many sources of replacements and while it can be a bit of a pain, they are easily replaceable. Getting a replacement wheel assembly close enough is really good enough but it can be challenging. Have a look on ebay for a start.
With the costs of new serviceable low cost luggage and the wear checked luggage gets it is often cheaper to replace than repair unless you can do it yourself, or it is on the airline.
