I see that in the Choice toaster review, there were other toasters which did a far better job at toasting (who thought it would be difficult) and were substantially cheaper.

Maybe the buy is about getting a matching pair to look good, rather than being a good buy for best operational performance.

No doubt it is a factor for some buyers, plus the convenience/price that Aldi offers. A bit of digging and buyers can usually achieve the best of both worlds!
