There is much more to this topic than the rather sloppy bit of journalism linked would tell us.
But from August 1, GPs will be effectively blocked from giving a patient a diagnostic report unless they do it for free or pass the cost on.
This is simply not true according the specialist in charge of the review of the items related to cardiac health.
Ms Dalzell did not put much effort into getting both sides of the story or in explaining what had gone on so that the reader can make up their own mind. Greg Hunt doesn’t explain it either, he just asserts there is a problem.
Why in your view is this change ‘ridiculous’ and penny pinching?
