Do you have a consumer myth youâd like to see busted? Can you help answer some enduring consumer questions that people often struggle with?
Weâre starting a new category thanks to a great suggestion from within the Community forum thatâs all around myth busting. The only problem is we canât decide on the best name, so we thought weâd ask for your help.
fiction fixes
fable stable
âdâ for delusion
figments and fallacies
doubt and uncertainty
bovine turdspotting
⊠aaand Iâm about done with the ones safe to suggest in this forum
Any name needs to give a clear indication of the role of category.
Thus âFact checkâ and âThe sniff testâ arenât good names.
âBS bustersâ, and similar suggest issues related to advertising, terms & conditions, etc. so doesnât seem appropriate.
Mythbusters may be copyrighted, etc.
I like:
âFiction fixesâ, âFigments and fallaciesâ âMyths for consumersâ
I add the following for consideration:
âFolklore failsâ âFailed folkloreâ âFanciful folkloreâ
âUnfounded traditionsâ
âMythDefiedâ - as a big INXS fan I canât help but hear it sung to the tune of âMystifyâ which is also appropriate ⊠one of the best concerts Iâve been to ⊠Memorial Drive Adelaide, sometime in the '80âs ⊠was a bit of a blur âŠ
