I would like to nominate Phillip Morris for a Shonky for their unbelievable hypocrisy in asking consumers to help them petition the Federal Government to legalise vaping in Australia which I have posted about in another topic.

It’s just another questionable value industry protecting it’s turf. Just like the gambling industry when Julia Gillard wanted to introduce restrictions.

But you don’t understand, they have repented. Now they are wearing white hats, they want you to stop smoking and take up vaping. Can’t you see how much better off you will be vaping instead of giving up inhaling foreign substances altogether?

There is a very simple reason for seeming to advertise against their own interest: addiction.
IF YOU DON’T QUIT, THEN WHAT?
“Then” is to feed your addiction rather than keep trying to quit. They are doing a big favour for all those people they got hooked.

Possibly not. It could be done purely for minimising their potential legal liability. Some sues and they point to this information saying that even Philip Morris’ suggests that smokers quit as smoking is not good for ones health. Not our problem.
