What are the defects?
The green light on the tip of the tool remains on when the on/off button is depressed, indicating the tool is “ready to detect voltage,” when it is not.
What are the hazards?
If a user believes the tool is ready to detect voltage when it is not, they may not get an accurate voltage reading, increasing the risk of electric shock.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the voltage tester and contact Klein Tools Australia to arrange for a replacement or refund.
