Responsible regulator

Energy Safe (VIC) is the responsible regulator for this recall.

Our LG RESU 10 battery was installed in February, 2019 so I tried to check if it was on the recall list.

The serial # label was located as indicated by LG under the top cover but it was all numerials. 8 numbers followed by a dash followed by 4 numbers, totally unlike the alphanumeric serial numbers indicated by LG and included in their Excel list of serial numbers.

I spoke with a lady at LG to who I emailed a photo of the serial #. She has advised as follows.

“As you have provided the label of BPU 48V Assy, I will need to request with our HQ in Korea to get the Module / Battery Serial number associated with it, in order to identify if it is under recall list.”

If anyone else finds that they have a different serial number format to the recall notice, call LG on 1300 677 273 to get assistance.
