Latest alert from Scamwatch regarding scams targeting persons who do not speak English as their first language.

I recently had what I assume was a scam, an SMS from LinktGo to confirm my mobile phone number with a clickable link, I’ve never used my phone for this , I prefer desktop computer. I assume it was a scam as SMS was already sent to correct number so why confirm?
