I am posting my experience here in order to make the community aware of the ineffective warning on the Baby Bunting 4Baby Snuggle Baby Bouncer Product Code 120018. This product is currently on sale in Baby Bunting stores and online.
I am a grandfather of a 5 week old boy that we visited on the weekend of 15/16 March 2025. My son and daughter in law live 6 hours drive away from us and this was our first visit to our grandson.
My grandson was in the bouncer on the lounge whilst we were sitting at a kitchen table nearby. My grandson started to stir, I had finished my meal and went over to comfort him. After a few bounces he was putting his fist in his mouth, so I thought I would bring him across to his parents to arrange for feeding.
I picked up the bouncer by the handle strap. and once lifted, the handle strap parted from the bouncer and my grandson tumbled onto a ceramic tile floor.
After the incident and hospital visit, I looked at the bouncer and found the warning on the inside of the handle strap. Too late now.
Having the warning label on the inside of the strap where it is not readily seen by people who are not in constant contact with children or their furniture is totally ineffective. This is compounded by the fact that the strap looks like a handle.
Thankfully, so far, my grandson appears to be no worse for the incident. I just wanted to let the community know of my experience so that you and your families can be aware of the inherent danger of this product when the warning for not using the handle / toy strap as a handle is not placed in a prominent place.
