Ice cream is no longer "ice cream"

I have just started noticing that many of the Streets and Peters brands of ice cream in 2 litre tubs are no longer labelled :“ice cream” Even Sara Lee seems to sell something just called “vanilla”. The only one of the everyday brands that is still labelled “ice cream” in the maroon coloured Bulla tubs. Advertisements for ice cream on the TV just say they contain “Dairy” I don’t know how long this has been occurring, but I assume that at some point the regulations changed as to the % of cream in a product which has to be above a certain level to label it as “ice cream”. Some of the premium brands are still labelled ice cream so I assume they actually contain cream.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what the regulation is that is controlling what is labelled as “ice cream”. ?
