Hello I’d like to do a review because I’ve just bought a Westinghouse kettle and toaster as a package. The kettle died after the two ‘cleaning boils’ I did. There are no reviews for any Westinghouse kettles. How do I make one please?
PS At first I thought this kettle was a Westinghouse badged as a Breville but it is nothing to do with Breville. Sorry for any confusion.

As a general comment the Community is not organised for specific reviews. Perhaps @BrendanMays can take it on board to add topics devoted to product reviews?
An issue is that Choice ‘business’ is to test products to a standard and what are anecdotal reviews are opinions of individuals, often reinforced or refuted by others just as would be any review a reader disagreed with. Choice online (subscriber) reviews allow for member comments for tested products, some being great and others scathing, so there is precedent.
That being written there are a few product reviews on the Community, but more often posts are focusing on issues with the companies behind the products and consumers having their rights upheld.
I imagine Choice would have concerns having product reviews here that compete with their own, but feel free to have a go for products Choice has not reviewed or tested. For a starter make an appropriate topic with the product name and type included. There are no hard and fast rules beyond the Guidelines.

There is a category where reviews of appliances is welcome. That category is ‘Home and Living’
When you create the topic select the Home and Living category rather than leaving it as General. The blue link in this post will take you to the category and just click the New Topic button to create your topic there. Give it a title that will help others find the information more easily such as including the model number in the title…as an example A review of my new toaster Westinghouse model zxcv12345.
I noted that you have had a failure of the kettle after doing the cleaning boils. Sometimes even what are usually quality products have ones that fail earlier than what is acceptable or usual (this is just a general statement and not in particular about your product).
Thankfully we have Australian Consumer Law (ACL) to help protect us. Have you taken steps to try to get a refund, repair, or replacement of the failed product? If you need advice about how to start the process, please ask and I’m sure you will get good advice about the ‘how to do it’ from other members here.
