Not sure if this is the right place, but my question is: does anybody know of a list of online services that are hard to exit from. For instance, I recently signed up to iDrive.com, but later found it very hard to un-sign-up. (To do this, I had to email them, and wait several days for their reply… only after which they sent a link allowing me to cancel my account.)
According to a Guardian report, this issue is in the sights of the ACCC.

I have only been able to find short lists of offenders, but of course there are many of them.
At the start of the year, I needed to create a Barnes & Noble (US) account for e-book reader testing.
In mid January, I requested that my account be cancelled, and received a reply that this would take some time, and I would be kept updated with progress.
Long story short: my account wasn’t cancelled until mid November.

One of the highlights of this issue is that offending sites can be any where - in the USA, Australia, hypothethically at least, on the far side of the Moon. So what is needed is a universal list of offenders.
Is there a chance that Choice might host such a site?
