I’m amused by current TV ads for Coopers Tyres. They say that they are guaranteed to last up to 80,000 km. “Up to?” This seems to be a meaningless guarantee.

their website explains that the guaranteed distance, up to 100,000km, is dependant on the size and tread pattern that you buy.
