This is another sham product pedalled by UAB Rara Digital located at Gedimino pr., 20, Vilnius, Lithuania.
GetJetHose (JetHose) is a nozzle which attaches to a standard hose, claiming to provide the same cleaning power as a high pressure water cleaner. The promotional materials are a sham and if believed, go against the laws of physics.
It is currently being heavily promoted on social media. The advertisements (including videos on their website) show the nozzle in action, however, it isn’t the nozzle but videos of electric/petrol high pressure cleaners. This is the nozzle they sell:
The nozzle being sold by UAB Rara Digital doesn’t work as claimed and works as well as any existing hose nozzle rotated to the jet setting.
The scammers have been flooding product review websites with highly favorable reviews, in order to assist in scamming consumers.
It has also been marketed as JetNozzle, JetFlux or Turbo Jet in the past. These products have had extremely poor reviews online (called scam products buy those sucked into buying the product). The product names appear to change when product review websites are overwhelmed with negative reviews.
One could save the money or spend it locally. Neta offer a product which is readily available from Mitre10 Bunnings etc for around $12-$15. I’ve also purchased a plastic version for less in a two pack.
No fancy physics defying claim. The narrow nozzle (jet) by restricting the flow results in a greater discharge velocity due to the greater back pressure at the nozzle. This is limited to the maximum pressure available at ones tap. Possibly only 200kPa (29psi) or up to the maximum recommended by plumbing standards of 500kPa at the tap. High pressure water cleaners sold for home use can deliver around 100bar (1450psi) or higher. At least 20 times more than the best from the home tap. While there is some science to nozzle design and shaping it’s incapable of delivering a greater pressure than at ones tap. All recognised engineering design can do is deliver small changes to reduce losses and shape the flow.
PS I have two of the brass nozzles and a Kartcher high pressure cleaner. On the house hold water supply the Neta nozzle is convenient and uses far less water than hosing off with a standard adjustable nozzle. Effective enough on light soiling and small areas. The Katcher in comparison can deliver that much greater pressure and provide a wide spread spray. Many times quicker/easier, far more water efficient and importantly able to clean many surfaces only scrubbing can clean. We’re off grid, so saving water is important.
I am sick of my youtube viewing being interrupted by these Lithuanian scam products proclaiming outrageously optimistic performance, be it trashy USB swampy fans from NASA , air coolers and recently air conditioners and pressure cleaners, all tailored to AUS by mentioning some local phantom inventor who refused millions by refusing to be bought out and may be closed down at any time by big bus.
Complaints to Google have no response as their only interest is revenue and they seem to be beyond the reach of the ACCC.
I don’t know how the makers of these very convincing ads that bear no relation to the actual product sleep at night, ripping off the public but I guess there are no truth in advertising rules at Google and they just do as they like in USA with no repercussions. At least ,if you pay with Paypal you can get a refund with a lot of effort and photos.
Yes I bought 1 of these and found it useless at doing what it claims to do. Absolute rubbish. I actually bought 3 of them to save freight. Talk about sucked in.
I’ve also been there! The marketing promotes the products using language and claims which are not reasonable if one has advanced knowledge of science and fluid mechanics. For everyone else it’s understandable that such marketing can appear to be honest and genuine. There are other tricks with some advertising leveraging psychology to take advantage of vulnerable emotions. That’s despite the more logically inclined always saying “if it seems too good to be true it likely is not”. A less than $100 purchase out performing a $1000 pressure washer should cause any to be cautious. It’s human that we are not all wired the same way. A world only of people like Mr Spock (Star Trek) only Spock might understand.
Regulation of such marketing is made more difficult when the products are produced and promoted by foreign enterprise. Although commonly presenting a very local Australian persona to gain would be Aussie purchasers confidence.
There are consumer protections through the ACL. Products must be fit of purpose. Most consumers write off the lower cost poor purchase decisions to experience - given the likely effort of successful recovery of the cost.
YouTube is scamming you; and yes it is YouTube scamming you they get paid to run these ads and share responsibility; and your reaction is to reward them and give them money?
So far the Lithuanian products I have been scammed on do not amount to sending $9 a mth to youtube, forever, given the refunds I have got from always paying with Paypal.
A very similar scam jet nozzle product also been sold as ‘Aquoxis’ and is marketed by Novalyx/Nova Performance LLC. It is a scam product that doesn’t work as advertised. It works as well (ormaybe bot as well) as a cheap (couple of dollars) garden hose nozzle, connected to a standard hose.
I suggest if you believe the claims being made, buy a cheap plastic nozzle as it will be financially a better proposition and will work better than an Aquoxis.
