As I wrote last year, my carer and I got free meat from Coles last year (about six times) when we found the advertised per kilo price was not the same per kilo price on the meat packaging. We got the first pack for free and any other packs weighed at the right price. I believe because we shop on Tuesdays, the last day of the previous week’s specials, is the reason as staff put out new meat at the higher price. My carer thought they had upped thier game as we hadn’t caught them out this year, until last Tuesday when the same thing happened. I’m not complaining as any free meat is good meat in my opinion, especially with high prices on most things. So keep your eyes peeled when something is on special, it may say “special” but have a completely different price.
