Choice did a review of 16 chickens some years ago in which the Coles and Woollies ones came out on top and the most expensive free range ones were at the bottom
We used to buy the Coles and Woollies chooks but have since switched to Steggles lightly marinated chickens as they are the most moist and succulent ones we have ever tasted.
We are cooking one on the Weber today along with my fabulous stuffing. Coles had them at half price, $2.50 kg.
