With ‘non junque’ policies that do not include ambulance (Vic) many if not most or all will reimburse the annual ambulance membership as a routine claim. I rarely see that mentioned in reviews.

If you travel or live ‘outback’ it’s wise to know what you are entitled to with regard to Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and possibly other airborne medical services in other parts - it’s an amazing service, but could set you back if you need to be transported out of a regional location - there’s an old saying in the Red Centre - “when in pain, take the plane”. It’s not uncommon to fly people 1500 km’s for treatment once stable, as good as our local services are.
