DENTASTIX Treats for dogs

The 28 stick Dentastix box comes in various categories according to dog weights, eg 5-10kgs, 10-20kgs and 25+kgs. Each box of 28 is the same price - around $24 unless on special around $17.

The sticks in the 3 categories get smaller and smaller - supposedly to suit smaller mouths, smaller dog varieties. Accordingly, the weight in the puppy/small dog box is around half of the 25+ kg box.

My two small dogs, 4kgs and 7kgs, discern no difference in the texture. I reckon if they can destroy a hard toy they can chew a big dog Dentastix.
I buy the 25+ kg X 28 stick box and cut them in half to make 56 sticks.

You too! My Mini Schnauzer X is perfectly happy with the largest size, always bought on special and cut or broken neatly in halves. He’s still managing them as he approaches his 14th birthday…
Dog stuff is designed to appeal to owners, because they are the ones with the money. Arithmetic is your friend, and I suspect some dogs are smarter than their owners…

I can’t believe they get away with selling half as much for the same price? You’re right - We do the maths and use commonsense. Some people are seriously lacking in both skills areas. But it’s got to be an illegal practice? Sleight of hand?

I don’t think there’s room to legislate against stupidity: risk of destroying the underpinnings of capitalism! It isn’t concealed: the arithmetic is soooo easy it’s painful. Some crooks are pretty sneaky & I may need to calculate on paper, but this is the sort of mental arithmetic I did in the 50s at primary school. Do kids still face the horrors of mental arithmetic?
