COVID-19 Poor business behaviour

And the website states:

12 Is Nanoman Antibacterial 365 approved by the TGA?

Nanoman Antibacterial 365 is a commercial grade disinfectant and is classified as an exempt disinfectant by the TGA.

This seems to imply that it is a commercial and not a domestic product. The email suggests that they are marketing it as a domestic product, something the TGA would be interested in, especially to its claims about COVID-19.

Yes, these claims seem to be aimed at the domestic market!

  • Protect your family and friends from COVID-19
  • Make your home COVID-19 safe

And from the TGA site, exempt disinfectants must not make any specific claims, let alone about COVID-19.

These products are incredibly expensive too: $65 for 125ml!

And I’m amused by their purple prose, referring to

a “killing field” of nano swords

An interesting article regarding the legal ramifications possibly facing former “el presidente”.

Whilst I was walking past the Rockmans store in our local shopping centre yesterday, I noticed this sign in the entrance.

Simply scan on a QR code at a Mosaic Brands store?

What could possibly go wrong?

No. But this might.

And it appears that they may not be the only charlatans the ACCC will target for poor COVID-19 business behaviour.

The TGA fined Lorna Jane for their COVID-killing sweatpants now the ACCC is having a bash.

Does Aged Care deserve a gong?

The industry has seen numerous tragic and distressing outcomes. Hope is that the lessons of the past have now been learnt and better management prevails.

One of the less expected responses of the industry has been to lock down facilities in circumstances when not required to do so by Government Health Directions or imminent threats. This has been an ongoing practice even in the most recent spot outbreaks with facilities not in restricted areas subject to the same standards as those at risk.

The voluntary lockdowns in many examples do not meet the Federal Govt industry agreed guidelines that ensure visitors reasonable access, and residents the ability to leave or use facilities as they need.

One expert further questions the legal standing of the actions of the Aged Care Facility Managers.

Supermarket toilet paper roll price gouging etc seem insignificant compared with what has been allowed to happen in Aged Care. Not just when in crisis but across the industry. Our politicians seem to be avoiding the obvious, which adds salt to the wounds. It’s been a lived experience for all those in aged care and their families.

Some banks are now demanding that their loan customers pay their deferred payments in full.

An article regarding fraudulent claims for Jobkeeper by some disgusting businesses.

I am surprised that it is the ATO and not Centrelink persuing them as I thought it was a Centrelink program but perhaps the Government wants to avoid Robodebt 2 or Son Of Robodebt.

Harvey Norman once again leads the retail movement with a big FU to Australians.

Ongoing posts about HN, the ACL, ‘customer service’, and general corporate behaviour makes one wonder if consumers just do not pay attention, or just do not care who they patronise if the product is in front of their eyes…

Too few of us spending too much time wondering.
Too many living the life of the over committed over worked idealised consumer.

Just a theory.

If they actually had a brain. the product would not be in front of their eyes as they would not be in a HN store or looking at any of their dodgy advertising.anywhere else.

Of course. once they have problems, they very quickly start crying in their beer.

I would not have expected anything better from Harvey Norman.

A post I did the other day in another topic.

I can imagine the totally different “customer service” I would have received had I been gullible enough to have bought the shredder from Harvey Norman.

Perhaps the name of this topic should be changed to better reflect Harvey Norman.

The New Daily has a list of companies that have ‘thanked’ taxpayers for helping their increased profits and executive bonuses through the JobKeeper program.

Government operates like a business more often than not to take care of ‘its business interests’. Thus the DivdendKeeper program, and also a DonationsKeeper program.

The JobKeeper saga continues unabated.

I will be very interested to find out the name of the major listed company that the ATO is taking to court although I can hazard a few guesses.

Not much point in having a through full of swill if you don’t have your snout buried deep in it.

Another article regarding companies doing very nicely from JobKeeper.

Nice money if you can get it and you have no conscience.
