Breathefree & Quit It - are scam businesses selling sham products

The Breathefree Resistance Necklace is being heavily advertised through social media and online advertising. The sellers claim the small resistance necklace can be used to manage anxiety and to quit smoking/vaping.

Consumers who have bought the product have a different view (red flags):

  1. The product is sold on Amazon and through their website Breathefree.shop. Similar products are sold through Temu from about $3.
  2. The product is shipped from and returns must be sent back to China.
  3. The necklace doesn’t work as claimed. When consumers have tried to get refunds under the money back guarantee, refunds aren’t forthcoming. If a refund is offered, it is only a small percentage of that paid.
  4. Consumers report that they are automatically charged for a subscription service (up to £50/month), even though this wasn’t disclosed through the purchase process.
  5. Consumers have reported that cancelling the subscription service is near impossible and have to resort to using the card issuer to block ongoing transactions.
  6. The medical claims are unsupported by evidence.
  7. The sellers have populated review websites with positive reviews. More recent consumer reviews are negative.
  8. The device isn’t approved by the TGA.
  9. There isn’t information about the ingredients for the flavours. It is possible that the flavours ingredients may impact on one’s health.

There is enough evidence to ascertain that:

BreatheFree is a sham product being sold by scammers. The scammers also keep card details to make additional unauthorised transactions.

Do not buy these products as you will be scammed into buying something which doesn’t work and will have the headache of having to deal with unauthorised transactions.
