Recently (May 2026) I visited my local branch of the Bendigo bank in Wodonga as my credit card had too many ‘read errors’ when swiping it so time to ask for a replacement.
Imagine my dismay when visited the bank to see that the branch was closed - no reason given!
After eventually contacting the Bendigo Bank support line (they had to ring me back after 30 min due to traffic) I was told that the Wodonga branch was temporarily closed because of a ‘Lack of staff ‘
I was advised to use the Albury branch in NSW.
Not good enough Bendigo Bank, now I have to work out how to transfer my periodic payments to a more reliable bank that actually offers face to face customer service!
