What are the defects?
The seatbelt warning (acoustic warning tone and visual display) may occasionally operate rather continuously, in circumstances such as a seatbelt not fastened or unfastened while the vehicle is moving. If the warning does not sound continuously, a seatbelt may be unbuckled and removed without the driver being informed.
What are the hazards?
If the warning does not sound continuously there is the possibility that a seat belt may be unbuckled and removed without the driver being sufficiently informed. In the event of an accident this may result in injury or death to an unrestrained occupant.
