No, never have and think I never will. While we generally prepare, cook and eat a very wide range of fresh foods and cuisines, I believe that if I did have a unknown future urge for something cooked using the sous vide method, I would google for the nearest restaurant that does.

There seems to be a significant number of domestic appliances coming out for ‘fancy’, ‘latest trend’ or ‘as seem on TV cooking show’ food preparation methods which are potentially fads and will quickly become while elephants by most home cooks. I suppose this is one way companies try and get one to spend their hard earned dollar on new appliances to support their bottom lines.


Spot on, shows like Masterchef and My Kitchen Rules are having an effect in my opinion.
