Wine : What is your preferred brand/label and type when purchasing?

Cab Sav always and must be chilled, we are ex Alice Springs. In a restaurant will ask for ice cubes to add to the luke-warm stuff in the glass. Now retired to the Barossa and are spoiled for choice but have settled on Jacobs Creek classic at about $5 by the dozen. It is vintaged and does go up and down a little from year to year but never disappointing. Not heavy drinkers - a bottle will last 2 or 3 meals. We have seriously good wineries 5 minutes walk away and keep stock on hand for visitors.

The best red wine is the Rockford Basket Press Shiraz from the Barossa. Generally you have to get it from the winery direct.
Another great Rockford is the Alicante Bouche which we call our “summer wine” - bliss.
And the best Sauvignon Blancs are definitely NZ - have rarely had an Aussie one that I’ve enjoyed.
