We all expect that there will be claims made in advertising that stretch the bounds of truth, that exaggerate the quality or benefits etc of a product or service. Should we really be allowing it? This brings me to the reason for this topic ie the use of Puffery. I was thinking of a new one like the shonkies, where members can post photos, weblinks etc of examples. It might be something Choice may be interested in for their publications/website.

There are examples in the topic, nothing precludes that option in that topic. In fact the more examples strengthens the case for changes, so I encourage more pics, more examples and why they should or shouldn’t be allowed.

Didn’t The Chaser have a segment on food in can or pack versus actual product? Maybe we can revisit that one with some comparison photos. And maybe include contents versus size of packaging. One that annoys me significantly is food packed with water. Specifically the fresh and frozen stuff
