Things must have improved because I’ve had no kernel panics for around 10 years. Kernel Panic for the uninitiated is the Mac equivalent of a BSOD.

Not something I’ve witnessed on any of the three Win laptops I’ve used in the same time. The closest we’ve come is a boot failure due to an OEM bios update failure conflicting with Windows auto upgrading to ver 8.1

Not sure if that is a laptop OEM failure in advising MS or an MS failure in not checking the hardware for compatibility before proceeding. No BSOD, just a RPITA.

I havent seen a BSOD, myself, in many years. I think the last time was in Windows2000

From memory I believe you are correct.

It was a living nightmare with Windows 2000 and earlier but I don’t recall it happening iwth Xp and later versions.

I have always used MS “Money” which has provided me (with a little tweaking) with all I have needed for someone who is careful with money and investments. If I had $620 pa to waste, I would give it to charity!
