It’s called gamification, which thanks to algorithms and no privacy when it comes to data collections, has reached different levels; it’s designed to get you addicted, which based on my observations is working a treat so that you buy stuff more stuff you don’t need.
Outside the data aspects being sold to xyz, I’m disappointed that nobody mentions that all that cheap crap comes with a price to the planet and to other people, who are not paid a living wage and work in terrible conditions etc.
