Insidious Aspect of Housing Crisis

Tiny houses have popped up here and there only to be literally knocked back down because of what are often regulations made with good intentions.

Is it better to change the regulations and define a special class of housing, or to make scores of people homeless just because they can? It seems many councils prefer to have a developer build a huge block that might be counter to local norms or simply a handout to a connected developer who can make a motza, and that stresses local amenities from roads to transport to schools and medical services. But forbid, a few tiny houses make their comfortable worlds crash down and they take action.
