How do you use your food processor?

My daughter gave me her Breville food processor when she moved overseas 7 years ago. It is quite bulky and fiddly to set up and then wash all the bits after use. It does do a good job but I rarely use it, preferring to use a stick blender and its attachments.

My Magimix of around 18 years old is my most valuable kitchen appliance by far, I have almost all the add ons - service is great, only had one problem which was my own making - I do a lots of cooking and preserving - replacement for dropped broken bowl super easy. I use my Bamix 2nd and attachments too. The Magmix sits on the bench its used so often. Do you know the motors are guaranteed!

I’ve got a Kenwood Chef probably 10 years ago which came with a blender and separate vegetable chopping blades. I use the Kenwood when I bake (not often now since I live alone). I tried the vegie chopping blades when we got the unit (it was a freebie, I believe) - but I don’t like the way it chops: I prefer cubes instead of slices, so chop my vegies by hand.

I also have a Braun blender which is quicker to use for soups: just lift it down from the cupboard instead of moving the Kenwood closer to a power point and attaching their blender.

And I use a Sunbeam hand mixer with 2 types of whisks: thin ones for cream / egg white and thicker ones for mashed potatos… - Its probably 15 years or more old and it’s only problem is that the ‘soft’ handle is getting very worn.
