It’s an aside to note:
There are no network charges and no retail charges to add to the cost of one’s rooftop generation. With more than 3million rooftop solar PV installations across the nation forecast to reach more than 5 million, there are a great many Australian’s invested in keeping fair access to the sun.

Choose to live in an area of row houses, or in an area of veritable stations, or energy efficient houses, etc. A problem many face makes it into a farce because after they have made their choice their new neighbour (or a developer) does what they want, sometime with a council approval and sometimes with an engaged (or often detached) tribunal overriding council as well as overwhelming submissions to stop it.
It impacts personal amenity, not just solar. We can leave it agreeing to disagree because it is not an all or nothing proposition.
