There are two types of separate gas meters, one for the cooking /stoves and the other for the Hot Water.

Origin overcharged my son by a factor of four some time back when they guessed a reading at meter changeover. It took the ombudsman to fix it. They are not to be trusted. Maybe none are.
I take the easy way out and Billhero checks every bill and gives me other options.
