I have moved your topic into an already existing topic on gambling advertising.
This has been discussed many times here with the result that most if not all who frequent this site are against the online and media advertising of gambling. If you do a search about gambling on this site you will find the results of discussions which have called for the advertising removal.
As a short list of some of those results
We are bombarded with gambling adds that tell us how much someone could win. Why not compel advertisers to also say how many people had to lose and how much money did they lose for this win to occur.
Not only could it help a lot with preventing children starting on this downward cycle, it could provide a welcome lift in Australia’s wealth and productivity when all those losses by consumers were spent in the real economy creating real jobs.
Similar to how the big Sporting Business model works.
Netball Aust, AFL, NRL, NBLA, CA etc encourage one to back a team, any team if we are honest. The ultimate goal is for their brand to flourish and provide employment for those in control of the Business (sometimes also referred to as sport). Sponsors and naming rights are key.

You can’t gamble, drink or smoke unless you’re over 18.
Why is it that gambling can be advertised at all hours of the day, when children are watching their to, or attending a sporting event?
When I was a kid there were cigarette logos painted onto the fields. Governments reaped huge profits from that addictive habit as well. But we would never consider exposing children to that kind of advertising now.
