Cashing an UK cheque issued in £ (GBP)

I haven’t heard from them yet! I don’t use many apps, and live overseas. I am over 80 and have a hearing problem, so don’t like to phone. My late husband’s nephew has been nominated as my representative and I’ve provided details so he can receive the refund in a registered letter - even that seems to take a long time. I will just have to wait, I guess!
