Although @Mart63 referenced a problem with RSVP, the dating site, the underlying issue is their subscription practices so I moved that part of the Dating Sites discussion here.

No. You get to keep using the service until the expiry date. Speaking as one who has dropped in and out many times over the years.
The one automatic renewal I do like is for my prepaid mobile service. This way I don’t forget… or rather, I can set and forget until I get fed up and then I port out to someone else.
I went into my internet security account to disable auto renewal, and was instantly given 20% off my renewal if I leave it on.
This just goes to show that even if you intend to renew with the same service, it pays to try and turn off auto renewal
