An article regarding predictions of a shortage of hams this Xmas.

Sounds just like the same predictions last year when I failed to see any shortage of hams or any price increases at the supermarkets.

The same goes for lamb leg roasts which are selling for around $12/kg, the same as last year.

And as for the stone fruit, I never saw it as cheap or as plentifull as it was last year.

Good news folks. The dire Xmas ham shortage has been averted.

Our local Coles, Woolies and Supa IGA all have plenty of stock of hams and they are the same prices as last year, with all 3 selling their brands of single smoked half-leg hams for $8.50/kg.

I’ll be able to sleep tonight.
