We showed our passports when crossing the border from Qld, no stamp though to record the crossing!

While not quite tourists, we had one of our immediate family who lived and worked in Alice, and another sharing a street address with H Lasseter and several more noteworthy Australians.

That we couldn’t load the Ute up in Qld and hope to arrive bearing a small quantity of gifts is also most un-Australian. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Our local Queensland PO will accept deliveries of wine by the case, and leave a note in the PO Box to pick up. Perhaps everyone could send the local NT MP a carton of empty wine bottles every Christmas to help them enjoy their time off? :rofl:

You can’t post them in the red receptacle though, so you’d need to pay … though a house brick wrapped in brown paper fits through the hatch easily so postage is needed, unless you are the recipient …
