What's your preferred airline - and does safety influence your choice?

FF programs might also be a reason to choose Singapore Airlines and their affiliates domestically, or another? Frequent Flier status, privilege, benefits are not restricted to just Qantas.

I wonder though if the premium paid for mostly choosing the one airline is of greater benefit to the passenger or the airline?

I would note that sitting up front on some flights may not be ideal. Who sits up there is less random. It tends to be where you are more likely to find an MP or two? Perhaps they have similar misgivings, although when it comes to Qantas airport lounges they have their own special place to go.

It is as you suggest a decision for some about more than the cost of a flight. There are other reasons some choose to fly with one carrier.

I hope not to be picky. I have had all the benefits through needing to fly often for work. It just seems exclusive FF benefits are a long way removed from any sense of genuine worth or value to the typical consumer who is paying for their fares?
