Web tracking investigation site

Use a browser like Brave - it defends from those trackers and (almost) spyware by default, and is just as easy as Chrome or Edge to use. You can choose on a per site basis if you want some sites to be allowed.

I agree, PiHole and similar devices are handy but need a level of tech skills to implement, whereas Brave is just a matter of installing another app/program and thus an easy thing anyone can do.

Undoubtedly a web browser (whether in its standard configuration or with appropriate add-ons installed) is simpler to set up and administer than something like Pi-Hole. However a network-wide solution is good for picking up devices where the web browser may not be relevant e.g. no web browser at all or traffic not being generated by a web browser. For example, you really want to block Google Analytics whether it is contacted from a web browser, an app or a smart TV.
