I believe there is a current news item indicating that a death in Australia has been now confirmed to be Listeria of the strain also found in those recalled vegetables. Vic Health Department have said how it is not possible to confirm a link to the recalled vegetables but “The Victorian case was retrospectively linked to the strain in Europe that led to the recall. It had the same serotype and similar genetics.”

Serotype is the correct word here and is not a misspelling “A serotype or serovar is a distinct variation within a species of bacteria or virus or among immune cells of different individuals. These microorganisms, viruses, or cells are classified together based on their cell surface antigens, allowing the epidemiologic classification of organisms to the sub-species level”
