We received a report via Twitter about some issues with a firmware update on the below model Toshiba TV.
The report indicated that the TV wouldn’t run FreeView Plus due to a required firmware update that was only supported through a third party. We were told, “On average it ‘disappears’ every two to three days” and requires reinstallation (including full retune, reset wifi etc.) The tv also randomly turns itself on and off.
SBS OnDemand also gives code errors and crashes the tv. The third party provider were claiming it it was the app providers issues. Luckily, the local Harvey Norman were able to rectify the issue in this specific case, but I thought it would be worth sharing in case others are experiencing similar issues, either with Toshiba or other TVs.
