What are the defects?
The stereo camera may mis-recognise roadside objects and/or miscalculate the travelling direction of an oncoming vehicle, resulting in the system unexpectedly activating the pre-collision braking feature.
What are the hazards?
Unexpected activation of the pre-collision braking feature may lead to an accident causing injury or death of vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
What should consumers do?
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted and asked to book their vehicles in to undergo the rectification work free of charge.
