What are the defects?

Due to incorrect manufacture, in the event of an accident one of the two locking mechanisms in the vehicle’s rear seat belts may not lock the seat belt as designed.

What are the hazards?

If one of the locking mechanisms in the seatbelt does not function, the wearer may not be properly restrained, increasing the risk of injury or death to the vehicle occupants.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted and asked to arrange an appointment for inspection and repair, free of charge.
