What are the defects?
The screw connections of the trimmer heads may settle over time due to the plastic relaxing. This may result in the screws coming loose in operation. If the screws become loose, there is the potential for the moving parts to detach and fly off.
What are the hazards?
If the parts detach and fly off, this poses a risk of injury to the user and bystanders.
What should consumers do?
Consumers should immediately stop using the trimmer head and return the product to a STIHL authorised dealer for a full refund.
