Rosella Tomato Soup

This product is discontinued. Does anyone know of a comparable tasting brand, or how to improve an existing brand to taste like Rosella?

I understand Rosella brand is now…

to reflect the name of current owners of the factory.

They still only use Australian tomatoes. Hopefully they reintroduce their low salt version at some time in the future.

Make your own @Mim, by using canned, peeled tomatoes, and avoid preservatives and high salt.

In a saucepan sauté a finely chopped onion in oil or butter.
Add tomatoes, and any herbs you like: basil for a cool taste in summer, or thyme for a warmer feeling in winter…
cook to reduce liquid and whizz in a blender.
Return to saucepan, add as much liquid (water or veg stock) as you prefer your soup to be: thick or thin.
Season to taste.
Let cook 5-10 minutes.
Serve hot with knobs of butter or a dollop of fresh cream on top.
